In pre-dawn raids on Monday 8th April, two teen boys, Muayad Hamza Tamimi and 15 year old Mohammed Bassem Tamimi were taken from their family homes to an undisclosed location for “questioning” and denied access to parents or lawyers.
This morning 12 April at around 2 am, Israeli forces again stormed the village and arrested 16 year old Mohamed Fadel Tamimi. The teen had miraculously survived being shot by an Israeli soldier in December 2017 when a bullet penetrated his brain. He has undergone several life saving and reconstructive surgeries. There are serious concerns for his welfare now especially as Israeli forces were brutal during the raids, wantonly firing tear gas and pepper spray that has resulted in the hospitalization of Mahmoud Tamimi.
This is now Mohamed’s fourth arrest and he has served months in detention from the age of 14. Following his discharge from hospital, he has been subjected to repeated arrests , interrogation and was forced into signing a false confession that his severe head injury had been self-inflicted, from a bicycle accident.
The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Major General Yoav Mordechai posted to Facebook, (in Hebrew and Arabic), “Wonder of wonders. Today, the boy himself confessed to the police and to COGAT that in December his skull was injured when he was riding his bicycle. The culture of lies continues among young and old in the Tamimi family.”
A later formal statement from COGAT added that “The truth is always our guiding light and we will continue to present the truth in order to expose the Palestinian incitement apparatus.” When confronted by evidence; medical reports, the X-ray and actual bullet removed during surgery, Israeli army sources said they could not confirm the origins of his injury and have refused to conduct an investigation.
A South African medical team lead by Dr Ridwan Mia undertook invaluable surgical intervention on Mohamed Tamimi in 2018. The doctors expressed grave concern at news of Mohamed’s arrest and join the call for his immediate release.
Nabi Saleh is targeted because of its years of peaceful resistance and its alleged refusal to stop despite the brutality that has been meted out by Israeli forces. Israel’s “moral army” is allowed to shoot children who pose no threat, to use snipers against children to kill with impunity.
Mohamed remains in custody of Israeli occupation forces and his family has been denied access to him. Communication to lawyers engaged by the family, indicate that he is being held for interrogation and is to be brought before military court processes on Sunday 14th April 2019.
We demand that Mohamed Fadel Tamimi and all Palestinian children are released from Israeli prisons now.
The international community must put an end to the ill-treatment and detention of Palestinian children. Enough is enough.

Palestinian Children are compelled to grow up quickly in Palestine.
75% of Palestinian children who are arrested report physical torture, and the conviction rate for Palestinians tried by occupation courts is 99.7%. As his sister said upon her own arrest, “There is no justice under occupation”.
Solidarity to the family, and to every Palestinian parent who has spent nights crying over their missing children; we can be sure that there are many mothers, all over Palestine, who are waking up today not knowing where their sons are.

which formed a model of the clash with the occupation and resistance. today early morning IOF stormed the Mahmoud Ali al-Tamimi home and assaulted the family and beat them with gas and pepper spray, resulting in Mahmoud suffocation and he is now in the Alestshary hospital for treatment And they storming the same time Fadl al-Tamimi home and arrested his wounded son Mohammed Tamimi whom was shot in the head around 18 months ago, he lost 1/4 of his skull and has had many surgeries to replace it. the Israeli soldiers entered the house and arrested him. We hope he is released soon. And fast recovery for Mahmoud
